Once somewhat of a local legend in their hometown, Mallory turned down a record deal in favour of a scholarship a decade ago. To say that they felt a bit of regret would be an understatement; they spent the bulk of their university years watching their former band mates sell out shows and records, stewing in bitterness the whole time.
After several years of rejection and struggling, they've finally gotten a second chance in their grasp — only to question whether it's something they even want anymore.
Overview
Jump into the past: Go on a cross-country tour during the summer of 2007, set to an original soundtrack that draws inspiration from 90s and 00s emo/indie rock.
Customise your character: While summer haze/glory days has a protagonist with a defined history, you'll be able to customise parts of their identity, like their name, pronouns, appearance, and voice.
Make meaningful choices: Shape your character's personality, relationships, and goals through the choices you make.
Experience it all over again in New Game+: Completing your first playthrough will unlock a New Game+ mode that adds new story content and epilogues — almost doubling the amount of content in the playthrough.

VA: Da'Jonte PhillipsThe bassist of The Fractured — the current band that's on the playlist of everyone who's in-the-know. Most would consider his quiet and withdrawn nature ill-suited for the spotlight, so it's fortunate that he seems to get overshadowed by the rest of his group.

VA: Jingle DeleonMallory’s best friend from university who was dragged into No Prospects largely against her will. Despite her initial reluctance, ever-critical Di has since given her all in every single performance – and won’t hesitate to point out anyone she believes to be dead weight.
Beckett
VA: GM HakimAn old friend of Mallory's from their teenage basement show years. Having spent the past decade turning down permanent positions in favour of juggling odd jobs with occasional freelance session work, he surprised everyone when he joined No Prospects.
Lucas
VA: Logan FletcherA last minute addition to No Prospects after the abrupt departure of their previous guitarist, Lucas struggles to keep his head above water in a sea full of industry veterans. What he lacks in technical skill, he more than makes up for in pure enthusiasm.

Is this the full game?
This is the demo version, consisting of 8 "tour date" story events. Please note that while the screenshots of the full version on the page feature multiple events per tour date, the demo only has one event per date.
When will the full game be released?
There is no public release date that can be shared at this point in time, but following the game here or on other social media platforms will let you be notified when that announcement is made.

The world need more games about being in a Rock Band. And creating your own Rock Band in a Visual Novel.
There is literally ONLY TWO games like it!
This being one. Rock Robin being the other.
Does anyone know of any other games like this?
After hours of searching I still can't find any. 😭
I look forward to see the full version of this on Steam so I can play lots more of it.
And I'll keep my fingers crossed that the awesome creators create another band-centic game after this one is finished. ^_^

the demo is amazing! i love the vibes of early 2000s and i was missing the exact story that you are introducing us to here. i've loved so obscure and i come back to it ever so often, so i was so happy to see brandon! my favorite parts are definitely the conversations. they feel so natural and i was completely lost in the world you've created. even though the demo is short i was immediately emotionally invested and cannot wait for the full game to come out. i love the way you're handling the game, a lot of recent works shy away from alcohol, smoking, etc., but that is needed in a game about bands and tours. love that. wishlisted on steam and will patiently wait for the full release <3
oh btw, another thing that came to my mind - will we be able to have different outfits? that is the only thing that i wasn't a fan of, as the purple long sleeve wasn't my style. but ofc totally understandable if not!!!

I definitely understand that players naturally want more customisation options, and of course I wanted to add more options myself as well. However, I am limited by the fact that I'm the only person working on the game, and unfortunately can't afford to work on "nice-to-have" features at the moment when there are still many high-priority tasks.
Impressive choices for character design.
Although I am surprised there's no choice for lip-rings.
(I just really like the snakebite style lip-rings. lol)
I am also sad that it lack some basic color choices for hair.
(Black especially. Although black with green stripes would be neat. lol)
The text-boxes are a bit... cartoon inspired.
Not my personal favorite style for the text.
Your friend uses your nickname to introduce you by.
Is that meant to be your stage name or something?
It's too bad you can't name your own band.

Wow.... Becett is the hot n' dumb guy I'm guessing? 😂
The writing is good tho. It draws you in.
The conversation flows naturally, and seems real.
And the artwork is pretty nice too.
The characters all have interesting personalities.
And you get invested in the band pretty quick and really want to see them climb their way up to success.
It's impossible not to root for them.
Which says a lot about how great the storytelling in this game is.
(And the large number of choices that makes you personally invested in the game, because it feels more like you --despite the strong personality of the mc.
....although I will never understand why someone love attention so much. If I really had been in a band, that'd be my least favorite part I think. At least outside knowing people liked what you created.)
And the fans are, like, SO cute! ^_^

(I admit I can't for the life of me remember exactly when it happened.)
The humor is priceless!!! Especially that situation that made you hitch a ride with that other band. And if you call Becket, and then tease him. 😂😂😂
Any romance in this game is pretty vauge tho.
It seems a strong focus on the experience of playing in a small-time band on the way in what may or may not be an upwards direction.
It's interesting how the game manages to use small snippets of life on tour as a band, and somehow you feel like you're there yourself almost.
You can -feel- the exhaustion at some points, and the emotions.
I just love how well-written this game is.
And it has a sense of nostalgia clinging to it as well.
Like memories of an everlasting summer.
FINALLY a game about a band that actually dares to show people smoking, drinking and eating junk food!
KUDOS for realism triumphing over patronizing moralism! 👍

While I initially also wanted to add lip piercings, unfortunately piercings that need to move along with the character's different expression variations would take more time (which I currently don't have much of) to implement, especially if there are multiple styles. This is also the same reason there are no eyebrow piercing options, either.
The nickname is just a nickname to be used among friends, so it's not really a stage name. It's also just a fun little way to show the preferences of individual characters. For example, Kendra will only ever call you by your proper first name, same as how she uses Diana for Di.
I'm not sure if it qualifies as a proper smartphone, but the Sidekick let you check MySpace/AIM and was the phone that all the scene kids wanted back in the day, haha.

Considering your fans use it, and your friend introduce you by it, it doesn't seem like a nickname amongst friends tho.
And I was a bit unsure if it matters if you correct other people who call you by it or not? (Like potential love interests.)
Nicknames tend to indicate some level of intimacy/closeness, right?

I love the game, the characters and the vibes, is so nostalgic! I can't wait for more uptades, everything is going perfect except one thing: I can't change the name, just the nickname. When I click to change the name I can't type anything, It looks more like i'm clicking in a "choice" you know? But I loved everything! (specially Emerson and Beckertt :')

I absolutely love this game! The character customization is top-tier—so many options to truly make the MC feel personal and unique. The writing is immersive, the worldbuilding is rich, and the themes are beautifully explored. I also love how each RO feels distinct and well-developed. The way the story balances mystery, tension, and heartfelt moments is just chef’s kiss. Huge props to the dev for creating such an engaging and thoughtful interactive fiction.
